Mr. Kenneth Sam, Senior Lecturer from the Faculty of Business Management at Majan University College, conducted a workshop on Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting Techniques on April 9th, 2019 at the Intercontinental Hotel, Muscat. The workshop was organized by the IMA (Institute of Management Accountants) USA. Mr. Kenneth, a Certified Management Accountant and a member of IMA, was the chief presenter. Workshop participants were CFOs, CEOs and top accounting and finance professionals from sectors such as banking, insurance, mutual funds, telecommunications, aviation and FMCG from across the Middle East. The workshop provided an excellent opportunity for top management representatives of different companies to learn more about recent developments in planning, budgeting and forecasting, and how to incorporate these in their strategic plans and risk management initiatives. At the end of the workshop, five candidates were awarded CMA scholarships by Mr. Ahmad Mkhalatti, IMA’s Director of Regional Partners Relations.
