Programme Overview
Today’s business is driven by data and data science. The influence of technology in all verticals of the business namely Human resources, sales, finance, manufacturing, and marketing has created a volume of data based on which decisions have to be evolved. Hence developing business analytics skills to infer and predict data becomes imperative in today’s context.

Programme Structure
Students are required to pass 8 modules totalling 120 credits in each year (level). In total students must satisfactorily complete 480 credits (32 modules) with a combination of core and specialisation modules to be eligible for the award of the Dip/BSc (Hons) Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence.

Entry Requirements
- A student must have completed secondary school and obtained the General Secondary School Diploma (Thanaviya), 12th standard, or equivalent. Based on the student’s performance in the Undergraduate Entry Test, the student will be placed on either an undergraduate programme or the Foundation programme in the College.
- A Student can register directly for the undergraduate programme, if he/she has successfully completed the College’s Foundation Programme or passed the Undergraduate Entry Test (Maths, IT and English) or their equivalents.
- APL Test: Students who undertake the APL test and score 65 (equivalent to IELTS 6.5) or above are registered on the undergraduate programmes with an additional exemption on all English Language modules on the undergraduate programmes.
- Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL): Credits are transferred based on module evaluation with equivalent modules offered on the undergraduate programme. Evaluation is done by the APL coordinator and approved by the APL Committee. Students can only apply for APL exemption before they start the programme, and not during their programme of study. Therefore, students cannot claim an exemption for any module at a later date, after the initial APL assessment has been carried out.
