Dr. Orlando W. Eduria, Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Business Management at Majan University College, recently presented a paper at the 6th International Conference on Hospitality and Tourism Management, which took place in Kandy, Sri Lanka from September 14 to 15, 2018. The conference was organized by The International Institute of Knowledge Management.
The conference addressed such themes as Quality Assurance in Hospitality and Tourism Management; Innovative Practices in Hospitality; Hospitality and Tourism Marketing, Planning and Development; Special Interest Tourism and Special Events. Papers were delivered by international speakers from various parts of Europe, Asia, and Africa. Dr. Eduria’s paper was on “The Impact of Tourism in Camiguin Island, The Philippines” The results of Dr. Eduria’s research can be utilized, especially in the tourist industry in assessing its economic, social, and environmental impacts. Aside from the presentation he also served as the Session Chair for the Technical Session on Hospitality and Tourism Marketing, Planning, and Development. According to Dr. Eduria “The conference provided a very good avenue for developing more businesses relating to tourism through the exchange of various perspectives and practices highlighted by the international speakers who are experts in the field of tourism development.”
