Professor Hassan Ugail (University of Bradford, UK) gave a very successful online staff development session on ‘Recent Developments in Applied Artificial Intelligence - A Researcher's Perspective'. He explained the principles behind algorithm design in a clear and straightforward way and then went on to show how AI can be highly effective in areas such as detecting criminals and the assessment of organs for transplantation.
