The Facilities Department is responsible for the overall maintenance and supervision of all the College’s physical facilities. The Directorate of Quality Assurance (QA) was set up in May 2000 and has firmly established comprehensive quality assurance policies and procedures that are detailed in the Quality Assurance Manual (QAM). The directorate develops, implements and monitors the strategies, processes and procedures that govern all academic and support functions in the College. It works closely with all Academic Faculties to monitor and enhance the quality of the students’ learning experience and academic standards.
The Quality Assurance Committee has the responsibility for monitoring and reviewing the quality assurance systems and procedures. The committee comprises the Head of Quality Enhancement, Faculty Directors and Coordinators for QA from each Faculty, the Associate Dean for QA and the Dean. The Faculty Boards of Study and Programme Committees have an important role in identifying and discussing quality issues within each faculty.
The College's quality assurance and enhancement measures include:
- External Examiner System for moderation of assessments and marking; verification of standards.
- Internal moderation of assessments and marking to ensure consistency of approach and transparency.

All academic programmes are approved after a strict and thorough process of internal and external validation. Every four years, Majan revalidates its programmes where programme teams update the curricula and incorporate feedback from a variety of sources, particularly students, industry, employers and external examiners.

The Registry Department is divided into: Registry and Admissions.
The Mission of the Registry Department is: To provide effective and efficient support to the College in achieving its objectives.
The Registry department is:
- responsible for a wide range of support services in the field of student and academic administration. The main areas of administration are centered on the following: student admissions and student records, timetables, conduct of examinations and report generation for internal and external stakeholders.
- the central repository for all formal records of students and programmes. This involves effective internal liaison and coordination with all academic faculties and departments such as Finance and Student Services.
The Admissions section deals with the admissions of new students and ensures that the College’s admissions policies and criteria are applied.
How to apply:
Applications can be made to the Admissions Department within the College at any stage throughout the year. Candidates are invited to visit the Admissions Department where our Admissions Officers/Advisors will be happy to assist in advising you of a suitable course.
The College's normal starting dates for undergraduate programmes are in September and February each year.
APL (Accredited Prior Learning):
This service is for students transferring from other Colleges/Universities. Mature students may be able to enroll on their chosen course at level 1 or 2 with APL credits for prior learning. Accredited Prior Certificated Learning (APCL) may be granted to students who have gained relevant higher–level qualifications from other institutions. Such credits must be agreed before starting the programme and all credit decisions are subject to formal approval by the University of Bedfordshire. APL credits will not be considered for level 3.
The College does not consider experience for granting APL credits

Majan Training Institute (MTI) provides the diverse community with professional training opportunities to enhance and promote career growth through training workshops and programmes.
It offers customised courses in the areas of Finance, Information Technology, Marketing, English Language, Leadership, Accounting… etc.
When the institute was first opened it was called ‘Centre for Continuing Education’, it ran a number of courses to a high level for many years. In 2013 the centre became an approved centre by the Ministry and Manpower and at this point it changed its name to ‘Majan Training Unit’. In 2022 the unit was approved to function as an institute by the Ministry of Labour and the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation.
As an extended arm to the college, Majan Training Institute offers bespoke professional courses in the areas of English Language, Information Technology, Finance, Marketing, Business Management, Accounting and Leadership Training.
Professional Development courses and Post-graduate preparation courses delivered by tenured professors and lecturers. Courses are audited each year by the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Labour to ensure relevance and to respond to the requirements of the national economy.

E-Learning
MOVE is Majan's Online Learning Environment. It is based on Moodle, a system used by over 65,000 educational institutions worldwide. It provides a learning environment that can be accessed anywhere and at any time, extending the learning experience outside the four walls of the classroom. Lecturers can use MOVE to provide self-testing assessments, module resources, online discussions and many more interesting and engaging activities. At Majan MOVE is a key part of our students’ learning. Students submit all their assignments electronically on MOVE, and access module materials and activities.
