She has a PhD in English Language Teaching and Applied Linguistics from the University of Warwick in the UK, as well as a MEd TESOL from the University of Leeds and a Postgraduate Certificate in Studies in Education from Melbourne University in Australia. She has been involved in second language education since 1992, working in Qatar, Egypt, the UAE and Oman as a teacher, teacher trainer, lecturer and course developer, as well as managing training and language schools. Amanda also has extensive experience as a lecturer, dissertation supervisor and teacher educator in both the GCC and the UK at Higher Education institutions, teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students and supervising doctorates and dissertations.
