Dr. Ehsan Rassaei, associate professor in the faculty of English Language Studies at Majan University College (MUC) has been appointed as the Head of Research. Dr Ehsan joined MUC in September 2018 and has currently more than 40 publications in various international journals. His research has been published in top and highly cited applied linguistics journals such as System: An International Journal of Educational Technology and Applied Linguistics (Elsevier), Modern Language Journal (Wiley), Computer Assisted Language Learning (Tylor & Francis), Language Teaching Research (Sage), Linguistics and Education (Elsevier), Applied Linguistics Review (De Gruyter) and so on. He is also on the editorial board of several international journals including System (Elsevier), English Teaching and Learning (Springer) and TESL EJ. Dr. Ehsan’s research interests and expertise range across various areas of second language learning and instruction including technology assisted language teaching, dynamic assessment, L2 vocabulary and error treatment in language classrooms.
Dr. Ehsan is looking forward to taking a leading role in supporting MUC’s ongoing development of its research capacity and output in accordance with its strategic goals. MUC will continue to engage productively with national and international partners, including its UK affiliate universities, to advance the research achievements of its faculties of Information Technology, Business Management and English Language Studies.
