Congratulations to Juwairiya Sayed, Kate Isidro, Muhammad Siddiqui and Nashiya Chaki, undergraduate students from the Faculty of Information Technology. Their research papers have been accepted to be presented at the 4th Smart Cities Symposium to be held at the University of Bahrain from 21st to 23rd November 2021. The students’ research papers were supervised by the Chair of the Faculty Research Committee Dr. Mohammed Waleed. The four accepted papers have the following titles:
- Digital Intelligent Virtual Assistant (DIVA) with Natural Speech and Accent Recognition, by Juwairiya Sayed.
- Integration of Remote Sensing Techniques into Oil and Gas Upstream Operations: A Comparative Study, by Kate Isidro.
- Object/Obstacles detection system for Self-driving cars, by Muhammad Siddiqui.
- Automated Border Control Systems A Literature Review, by Nashiya Chaki.
The accepted papers investigated state-of-the-art concepts, issues and trends related to various aspects of Information Technology. The symposium proceedings will appear via IET Inspec, IEEE Xplore, and Elsevier's Scopus.
