Dr. Jacintha Menezes
Head of the Faculty of Information Technology
Dr. Jacintha Menezes has been involved in the field of Computer Science and Information Technology for almost 20 years. She holds a PhD in Computer Science in Remote Sensing marking use of Hyperspectral Imaging capabilities. She has been a Senior Fellow of the UK higher education academy since 2019. Dr. Menezes has been officially approved as External Reviewer by Oman Authority for Quality Assurance of Education since January 2025. She has led Ministry of Education-funded projects as principal and co-principal investigator. She has presented several articles in various reputed international conferences and Journals. Her primary research interest is centered on Data Analytics and Image Processing, in particular Hyperspectral Image Processing.

Dr. Manju Jose
Faculty Director of Quality Assurance
Dr. Manju is the Director of Quality Assurance and Assistant Professor at the Faculty of IT. Dr. Manju is a results-driven academic with 24 years of insightful experience in teaching, research, and administration. She holds a PhD in Computer Science and a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice in Higher Education. She has also published various Scopus-indexed journal papers. Dr. Manju has experience working as the principal investigator of funded research projects and has a patent to her credit. She is a Senior Fellow of the UK's Higher Education Academy and has acquired several industrial certifications. She is an external examiner for evaluating PhD theses for several universities in India and has also served as keynote speaker, reviewer, and technical committee member of several international conferences. Her research interests are in the areas of deep learning and artificial intelligence.

Dr. Albert Tayong
Programme Manager
Dr. Albert Alipan Tayong is the Programme Manager of the Faculty of IT. He finished his Mathematics degrees in the Philippines where he graduated as Magna Cum Laude in his BSc and doctoral degree. He completed his MBA from the University of Bedfordshire, where he obtained a Distinction award. He completed his doctoral degree related to Mathematical Modeling in 2024. Since joining MUC in 2012 he has already handled Mathematical & Statistical Skills, Basic Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Fundamentals of ICT, IT Applications for Business, Logical & Problem-Solving Skills, and Business Mathematics & Statistics. He had worked as HR & Administration Officer in the Philippines, UAE, and Oman. He has expertise in MS Excel and has knowledge on MS Access Database, and SPSS.

Dr. Ramalingam
Assistant Professor
Dr D. Ramalingam has been an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Information Technology since 2010. During his career he has achieved various professional certifications such as CCNA; CCNP; COMPTIA A+; COMPTIA Network+; Microsoft Certified Professional; EC-Council CHFI; and EC-Council Cyber Security instructor. He is the College’s Research Focal Point with Oman’s Research Council. His primary research interest is in information security and he has presented his work at various reputable international conferences. In 2019 he completed a postdoctoral research project in association with the University of Bradford, UK. His teaching currently covers areas such as Cloud Computing, Internet of Things, Virtualization, SCADA systems and Advanced Digital Forensics. He is also a Senior Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy.

Dr.Senthil Ramadoss
Project Coordinator
Dr. R. Senthil is an Assistant Professor with nearly 20 years of experience in academia and industry. His PhD is in the area of Soft Computing and he serves as a peer reviewer/editorial board member in many international journals. He has chaired and presented papers at international conferences, published in well-known journals, and received substantial grants from Oman's Research Council (TRC) for the purposes of carrying out research projects. Dr Senthil has authored and co-authored books in the fields of industrial automation and holds patents. His current research interests are in the fields of Image Processing, Fault Diagnosis, Plant Automation, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning. He is a member of international societies such as IEEE, ISTE & IEI.

Dr. Sohail Razzaq
Assistant Professor
Dr. Sohail Razzaq holds a Ph.D. in Communication Systems from Lancaster University, UK, and M.Sc. in Computer and Network Engineering from Sheffield Hallam University, UK. With more than 11 years of professional teaching and research experience at his credit, he joined the Faculty of Information Technology, Majan University College as Assistant Professor in 2022. His teaching and research areas include Communication Systems and Networks as well as Smart and Autonomous Systems. Dr. Sohail has published 29 articles in reputed journals and conference proceedings, mostly published by IEEE, Wiley, Elsevier/ScienceDirect and MDPI. He is actively conducting cutting-edge research in his areas of interest.

Dr. Grace Hannah
Assistant Professor
Dr. Grace Hannah Joshua is an Assistant Professor with over a decade of teaching and research experience. Her domain of expertise lies in the areas of Deep Learning, Machine Learning and Image Processing. She has published various papers in reputed indexed journals, and (co)authored books in the fields of Deep Learning, Machine Learning and Data Analytics. Dr Grace also holds patents to her credit and is actively involved in collaborative projects. Her current research is in the realms of Artificial Intelligence integrated with Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing and Biomedical Image Processing.

Dr. Taufiq Al-Madhagy
Assistant Professor
Dr. Taufiq Hail Ghilan Al-Madhagy is an Assistant Professor with 20 years of combined academic and industrial experience. He holds a PhD in IT and an MSc in ICT from the AACSB-accredited Universiti Utara Malaysia. A prolific researcher, he has published over 27 peer-reviewed articles in Scopus and Web of Science (Q1/Q2) and serves as an Academic Editor for PLOS ONE. Dr. Taufiq’s technical expertise is validated by elite certifications, including CCNP, MCITP, CCNA, and the Google Cybersecurity Professional Certificate. His work bridges technical infrastructure and digital transformation, focusing on Cybersecurity, Project Management, and Generative AI. A recognized expert in Advanced Statistical Analysis (PLS-SEM), he has mentored students across diverse multidisciplinary fields. This synergy between his background as a Senior IT Consultant and award-winning academic provides deep, industry-aligned insights into Management Information Systems, Cybersecurity, and AI-driven educational transformation.

Angel Godson
Senior Lecturer
Angel Godson is an experienced senior lecturer in Information Technology with over 12 years in academia and industry, specialising in curriculum development, innovative teaching methodologies, and research. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Science Engineering at Presidency University and holds a master’s degree in computer applications. Her research interests include Machine Learning, AI, IoT, and Data Analytics. Angel has also presented at international conferences, authored academic articles, and led workshops on emerging IT trends. She has also held senior roles in the IT industry, as Senior Programmer Analyst at Cognizant and Infosys, specialising in BI applications and data reporting, working with clients such as Royal Bank of Scotland, AstraZeneca, Philips, and British Gas. She been recognised with several awards from Oman's Ministry of Higher Education, Research & Innovation, and had the privilege of speaking at various academic institutions on the importance of strengthening soft skills.

Thuraia Al Jabri
Senior Lecturer
Thuraia Al Jabri is an IT Senior Lecturer and holds a Master’s degree in Information Management and Security from the University of Bedfordshire. She was the Level 3 coordinator for all College students from 2019 to 2024, as well as teaching and coordinating undergraduate modules in FoIT. Thuraia is a Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy and is currently pursuing PhD studies in Computer Science and Information Technology at Universiti Malaya in Malaysia, under a MoHERI scholarship and with Majan University College support.

Amal Al-Balushi
Senior Lecturer
Amal Al-Balushi is a senior lecturer in the Faculty of Information Technology with 11 years of experience of teaching in different higher education institutions in Oman. She joined MUC in September 2024. She holds a master’s degree in Information Technology from Middle East College, Oman, and a bachelor’s degree in Internet and e-Security from the Higher College of Technology – Muscat.

Kawthar Albahri
Laboratory Instructor
Ms. Kawthar Al-Bahri is a Laboratory Instructor in the Faculty of Information Technology at Majan University College. She holds a BSc (Hons) Computing (Oil and Gas) degree awarded by the University of Bedfordshire, UK. Ms. Kawther has successfully conducted multiple training sessions for oil and gas graduates in the Industrial Automation Laboratory at Majan University College, focusing on SCADA systems using Delta DIAView software for industrial process automation and control. She currently assists students in conducting their laboratory exercises in industrial automation-related modules such as SCADA, Industrial Data Networks, Sensor Networks, and the Internet of Things (IoT).
