MacBeth
The CDE (Contemporary Drama in English) module students enacted the greatest Shakespearean play 'Macbeth' in Al Bustan Hall. It was an excellent show, displaying creativity and great acting. 
National Day Celebrations
The Student Advisory Council organised a diverse range of performances to celebrate the 46th National Day. This included a display of cultures by a local school which featured Oman, England, USA, China, India and Egypt. There were also performances from students (both musical and acting), competitions, a heritage exhibition and a treasure hunt.
Conference in USA
 
Mr. Muhammad Tanveer, a Senior Lecturer in English Language, presented a research paper entitled "Turnitin as an E-Assessment Tool: Students' Views with Practical Implications for Educators", in a conference on Classroom Assessment for Language Teaching (CALT 2016) held at the University of Arizona, Tucson, USA.  
DigEdME
 
Mr. Ian McNaught, Majan's Head of Library & Computing Services contributed to a panel discussion on harnessing the power of elearning at DigEdME in Dubai.
Finance for Non-Finance Professionals
Majan University College Training Unit conducted a course entitled 'Finance for Non-Finance Professionals' for the Omani Securities Association at the Park Inn Hotel, Al Khuwair. For similar courses please contact mtu@majancollege.edu.om. 
Ladies Basketball Team
Congratulations to Majan's female basketball team who won 3rd place in the competition organised by the University Sports Committee at Sultan Qaboos University.
