On April 11, 2019 Mr. Mohammed Ibrahim Farooq and Ms. Yevette Mathew, who are senior lecturers at Majan University College, in the Faculty of English Language Studies, gave a presentation entitled “The Technology-Friendly Classroom” at the 19th International ELT Conference, which took place at Sultan Qaboos University. The theme of the forum was “Innovative Approaches to English Language Teaching and Learning”. The presentation given by the lecturers from Majan University College was well received by the participants, and was followed by an interactive question and answer session. All presentations, workshops and poster presentations at the event focused on the changing scenario of English language classrooms, which are becoming increasingly heterogeneous, multicultural and digitally supported.
The conference provided teachers, researchers and educationists from Oman and from the wider world with a platform to discuss good practices and innovative ideas relating to English language teaching and learning. All the Majan College staff who attended gained benefit from this excellent opportunity for the sharing of sound professional practices.
